The Kent Police Department proudly serves the city of Kent. Kent has a population of 28,904 over 9.3 square miles. The Dispatch Center dispatches police, fire and EMS for the Kent Fire Department, which covers the City of Kent, Kent State University, and Franklin Township. The Police Department has 42 sworn police officers, 13 dispatchers and 10 support personnel.
